Sue and Christopher Hawai'i Trip 2011
I've prepared two reports for this site. The first is a 60-page, 23,000+ word MS Word document that contains text descriptions of our trip on a day-by-day and event-by-event basis. There are sixty-nine pictures in the MS Word report. You can either save the report to your computer by clicking on the "hawaii_trip_2011_report.doc" icon and choosing "Save," or read the report from this website since I've also embedded it in full on the next page. You can see that by running your pointer over the "Hawai'i Trip 2011" menu item above and clicking on the "Embedded Trip Report" button that materializes below it.
The second report is a photo-intensive Power Point presentation that features photograph sequences with a few intervening slides containing very brief descriptions. I had to split the show into three sections for uploading to this site. They are the three files ending in ".ppt." I strongly recommend that you choose "Save" and run the show from your own desktop. I used the "Open" button and the show ran automatically from the site, but it took a good deal of time to load and it wasn't full screen. These are all big files, so it's going to take a little while to save them, but they'll run nicely once you've got them on your own machine. After the file is downloaded, double-click on the icon. When the show is loaded into Power Point choose the option to view the slide show from the beginning. Once the slide show is started it will progress automatically, but if you'd like to make it go faster you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard. If your computer doesn't have Power Point, you can download the free Power Point Reader from the Microsoft website (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=cb9bf144-1076-4615-9951-294eeb832823).
